Annual reports
Technical publications
We are interested in partnering with organizations who have mission-critical, long documents to produce, but don’t have (or need) a full-time graphics department.
Contact us if you need careful, thorough design and management of your mission-critical publication.
Skills we offer – which are needed to successfully produce a complicated document on a regular basis:
Mastery of Adobe InDesign, today’s primary full-featured page layout program.
Design master pages with header, footer and page numbering elements.
Create style sheets, to ensure perfectly consistent application of type styles throughout the publication.
If publication includes paid advertisements, determine ad sizes and create spec sheets for potential advertisers.
Attention to details so final product is professional and impressive.
Well-organized process with client so each document proceeds smoothly and efficiently.
Coordination with printer to ensure document meets their specifications and printing meets budget and quality goals.
We offer decades of experience working with clients to produce these publications, whether for printed use, or distribution online via PDFs – more common these days for Annual Reports. See some examples below.
We have been partnering with New Energy Colorado since 2011 to produce their annual 36-page Green Homes Tour booklet, including sponsor communication, ad design, organizing page layouts with project managers, laying out featured home pages, and print vendor coordination. See the 2025 Tour Book PDF here.
We worked with The Community Foundation for several years to produce their fantastically informative bi-annual report detailing the impact of their many community support initiatives in Boulder County. Creative aspects included designing simplified ways to present data in eye-catching and easily understood visual formats. View the 2017-2019 TRENDS report here.
We partnered with Shambhala Mountain Center (now Drala Mountain Center) to produce 32-page catalogs twice a year, to promote their retreats.
We worked closely together with the client to organize presenter bios and photos, program descriptions and registration details to create clear, accurate information for potential retreat attendees.
The Tergar Foundation used our long document skills to produce many Tibetan Chant booklets over the years. This project involved precise and careful attention to detail, working with translators’ documents incorporating complex Tibetan language characters aligned with English translations.
